 Imagine a fun-filled, relaxing weekend devoted to working on your albums with your friends or family or other creative souls. Come to this charming retreat and conference centre on the Indian Arm. If you are looking for a chance to scrap your heart out or work on your albums this is it! If you just want to get away with some good books or movies that is great too. Cropping, on site workshops and great buffets. What a great time to have with old friends as well as making new ones! This wonderful weekend retreat is open to all who wish to attend. Your adventure begins aboard one of Camp Jubilee's certified passenger vehicles for a short 30 minute boat ride from Deep Cove in North Vancouver, British Columbia. You can stay in a cedar cabin that offers bunk style beds complete with bathrooms and stunning views of Indian Arm. Lodge rooms are also available upon request. Babes in arms are welcome. The facilities are comfortable with rustic accommodations and true west coast hospitality from the staff. We leave around dinner time generally on Friday night and after unloading have a snack or dinner depending on time of departure and arrival. You can spend the evening getting settled or start craft projects right away. You need to bring slippers or indoor shoes a sleeping bag or bedding, a pillow if you like one, your own materials if you will be scrapbooking or cardmaking or quilting or knitting. If you want extra snacks there is a refrigerator available for our use. There is a small library and lounge with wifi if needed. You will be served breakfast, lunch and dinner plus some snacks with fresh fruit, coffee and tea always available. Special dietary needs must be expressed ahead of time for staff to prepare. The cost is $175 per person. Camp Jubilee is situated right on the water. So restful and peaceful! We will return around 2pm on Sunday. Spring 2013

Hi Ladies!
 
I am excited about next weekend. There are only 15 of us so far, so I  had to email the camp to see if it is still viable for them to have us come up. I've told them that we were prepared to use the downstairs area, since there are not very many of us. We will all have our own table, on the positive side of things!! Also, Miranda, our masseuse, knows that there are only 14 ladies going. We have 5 - 60 minute sessions planned for her, and 1- 30 minute sessions. If anyone else is thinking about having a massage, you can pay her at the camp, but she just wants to know in advance, so she can decide if it is viable for her to come up, since she has to pay the fee, as well.

If you know of anyone else who is wanting to come, please bug them to email me, so I can get the final numbers to the camp before the weekend.

Last time we had a group this small it was nice and intimate.  IT will be so nice and QUIET!!! he he he! NIce and relaxing with TONS of room for us to craft!!

Spring Retreat 2013

Hey Ladies! Spring is just around the corner and that means a weekend away! 
Just wanted to give you all the information for the Weekend Retreat in April! It is all booked and all ready for us scrapbookers again! Below is all the information including a special surprise that I know you will all want to take advantage of! So read on:
 
Date: Friday, April 12-14
 
Time: Boat leaves at 4:30pm to get the maximum number of scrapbooking hours we can
          Please arrive around 4pm to carry all the stuff to the dock and load onto the boat! 
 
Place: Deep Cove, North Vancouver. The boat will take us up the Indian Arm to beautiful
            Camp Jubilee!
 
Includes: sleeping accommodations for the weekend- beautiful rustic cabins with bunkbeds and 
              toilet with sink. There are shower facilities, too! Dinner on Friday night, breakfast, lunch
              and dinner on Saturday night, and brunch on Sunday.
 
Bring: all your bedding (sleeping bag, pillow) towel and toiletries, your scrapbook supplies,
         slippers for the main hall, and some comfy clothes. There is also a fridge for some drinks and
         you are more than welcome to bring your own snacks, as well.
 
Dietary Needs: If you are vegetarian/ vegan/ gluten intolerant, etc, please let me know. The cook
                          is very accommodating to our needs!

Optional Massage and Reflexology Sessions:
YES!!! You read this right! We now offer on-site massage on a massage table! Or reflexology! It is provided by Miranda Perkins- Kortus. She charges $1 per minute for either a massage or reflexology session. Minimum 15 minutes. If you are interested, please let me know how many minutes you would like a session for, and add it on to your total cost of the retreat. You can always bring more money and opt to sign up for additional times at the retreat. But preferably, we should know how many ladies are interested, so that it is worth Miranda's time to come up for the weekend! This is our first time trying this out, and I am so excited to be able to offer this special service to all the ladies!!!
Optional Workshops: We are offering 2 additional workshops that are optional. Here are the details:
 
Designer Printed Album By: Betty  Cost: $25
 
Let memories light the corners of your mind with this beautiful scrapbook! Covered with coated, heavy-weight paper, it includes 1- page protectors. Album comes in various colours included pink, pirouette, marina mist, soft suede, and very vanilla. This album coordinates with all the Beau Chateau suite products from Stampin' Up! The class includes the album, a package of Beau Chateau Designer Papers (12 sheets per package) tags and 24 notes. The class will have 90 minutes. The cover of the album says "memories". Anyone for Tea?       by: Dunja          Cost: $5

 

In this class, you will be making a super cute one-of-a - kind tea dispenser box for a gift. Included is a mini 3 by 3 gift card. A great little gift to make for anyone who loves tea! Take it home and fill it up with some tea, and gift it away! Comes with instructions, so you can make more on your own with your own papers! This class will take betweek 30-45 minutes to complete! One of the classes offered will be similar to this one above with 12 cards in total. Twelve delightful pretty homemade holiday cards go a long way especially since Christmas is far enough away for you to make more of these kinds of cards. We'll be getting out the glue, glitter, spray bottles, embossing powders there will be plenty of sponging going on. These cards are definitely sponge worthy!

To reserve your spot respond right away, numbers are kept low to ensure an intimate group...
This is an exciting event! Scrapbookers, Cardmakers, Crafters of all kinds welcome.
The air will be electric with Creativity! and classes are optional!

Travel by boat up the Indian Arm to Camp Jubilee! Leave Friday 5:30pm returning Sunday after lunch.
Meals plus dessert, snacks and accommodations in a rustic setting. Washrooms inside the cabins. Yurts available.
You will have loads of space to create. You can create all night long too!
Please bring your SLIPPERS, sleeping bag, towels and toiletries, perhaps ear plugs if you are a light sleeper and a flash light if you plan or reading or journaling late at night and head phones if you plan on listening to music or watching movies!
The meals are good, cooked on the premises by the wonderful Camp Jubilee staff. There is always coffee, tea and water available and fruit plus you can pack your own...all for the low cost of $170. 
Classes are optional and usually include a mini album and a few card classes. Free make and take! 
You could get working on your Christmas, Thanksgiving or Halloween projects or Scrapbook your summer!

Thinking about those Christmas Cards already? Maybe a mini album for the holidays coming up so you'll be ready to shoot those photos right in? 

October 12th 13th 14th  Camp Jubilee Scrapbooking Retreat Weekend Camp Jubilee on the Indian Arm in Deep Cove, North Vancouver  To reserve a room in the lodge, please send me a cheque asap. Lodge rooms are assigned on a first come, first serve basis. It has worked out well in the past that the ladies who have wanted a lodge room and sent in their money first, have been given priority for a lodge room.

Boat leaves Deep Cove at around 5pm (there is safe overnight parking available) 

Rustic cabins have bunkbeds for you and your friends (have your own cabin) or sleep in the lodge room with a friend Bringing a baby, definitely book a lodge room!

Free make n'take

Sightseeing: There are hiking trails available for you to use. You can also sit on the dock and relax beside the ocean depending on the weather! We can just stay indoors and scrapbook!

Food: includes Friday food shortly after arrival, Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner,dessert, snack and Sunday brunch. If you need even more snacking, bring some goodies- there are fridges to use if you want to bring dips etc.

We set up tables for you and your friends to sit together and spread out your stuff. Not a scrapbooker? NO problem! We've had knitters along, too! Also the room downstairs has tons of natural light and plenty of electrical outlets if you are a quilter or want to sew. You would need to bring your machine and the supplies for your projects. Bring a pair of slippers along for walking around in the hall. Besides lots of light there is a nice view of the water too. We can bring ironing board and my cordless iron for you if you let us know. Six or Twelve foot of tables available depending on need. 

1. Bring all your bedding (sleeping bag, bed sheets and pillow)

2. Don't forget your SLIPPERS (they are super comfy and are mandatory in the lodge)

3. Don't forget your toiletries and towels

4. There is a fridge in case you need to bring some food that needs to be kept cold, like dips for chips.

5. There is a dvd and tv, so if you want to watch a movie bring it up!

I have Couples Retreat to watch this weekend!

6. Bring some snackies, if you want/need munchies between meals.

The directions for driving:

1. Drive west on Highway #1 towards North Vancouver

2. Take the Second Narrows Bridge and stay in the right hand lane

3. Take the first exit right after the bridge- Dollarton Highway and drive east

4. Stay on that road, it will take you right into Deep Cove

5. Once in Deep Cove, you will see a glimmer of ocean ahead- keep driving

6. You will drive into a sort of round-about and turn right.

7. Take the first left road, which will take you down to the docks

8. You can unload your car there- then drive back up and park along the road

9. Nobody has ever had anything stolen from their vehicle, but make sure that you don't leave anything inviting inside

10. Please give yourselves plenty of time to get there- the boat will leave at 5:30 p.m. It takes about 10-15 minutes to unload your car and then drag everything down to the dock. It takes another 10-20 minutes to load everything.
